Would recommend for a fleeting trip
Cozy room, convenient location, the outdoor swimming pool was refreshing after a day exploring the nearby beaches and the breakfast spread was excellent with a variety of options to kickstart the day.
One frustrating aspect was the noise from large groups during meals.

The hotel was good. Friedly personal, food was nothing special, but just good especially for the price of this hotel. Enough choice for everybody. You can reach the hotel very easily by bus (line 5 or 8), there are 2 buss-stops (ekonomska or puntamika) then it is just a 300m walk (just follow Borik). Busses go indeed around the city and they follow the bay. If you come from Zadar airport and take a bus to the busstation be aware where you step out of the bus, the bus stops at the front of the bus station (across the supermarket Konzum)! You also can take a taxi, they are not so expensive.
the beds are quite hard...

Location is great, rooms are very small, breakfast is inferior compared to hotels in the same price range

Great Value for a Relaxing Solo Getaway
The pools provided lovely relaxation spots, perfect after a day exploring. For those seeking sunbeds, try to arrive early for the best spots by the sea. A pleasant experience with excellent value.

Value for money, good choice of food in buffet, Free beer from 10 til 10, closeness to water front
First night the floor of my room was crawling with ants, otherwise the room was clean, maybe not a bad point but hotel is a 30 min coastal walk from old town, there are busses tho, there is only one computer in lobby and internet expensive to use,

On missing our initial flight to Croatia and having to cancel our accomodation for the three nights initially booked, Booked.net and the manager at Hotel Donat were prepared to waiver the total fee for cancellation at this very short notice. On securing a new flight the following day we were extremely happy to re-book at the same Hotel through Booked.net. Thanks so much for a great service!!

The hotel has good choise of tasty food.
Socialistic designed furniture is pretty old in the hotel.

Big room with a kitchenette and a late-arrival dinner box ensured we were well taken care of. The varied breakfast options exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the sea was a fantastic bonus.

The location was excellent; right on the water. I had a sea view from my room. I liked the self-service bar in the lobby which has beer, wine, and soft drinks as part of the all inclusive price. I thought the food in the banquet hall was good, and they had a good selection at every meal. You can walk through the lobby/bar, out to the pool, and right out onto the promenade along the water. The walk into the old town is about 45 minutes along the waterfront or less than 10 minutes on the city bus # 5 or 8. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about the area and willing to answer any questions you have.
The rooms and overall decor is somewhat dated, but still comfortable. I saw some complaints about this in other reviews as well, but the value for money I think is incredible.

The all inclusive food and drink is absolutelly brilliant, with many options - specially for dinner. Also the staff at the restaurant/reception are very profesional and helpful. Very happy to have booked this hotel.
We did like everything, but in order to give a positive suggestion we would say that a small plasma/lcd TV would give a more modern look to the rooms and hotel lobby. Anyways we definately recommend this hotel.

The hotel grounds are lovely for relaxation.
I faced several frustrating issues. The dining room was often overcrowded with loud school groups. The food consistently arrived cold, including breakfast items like fried eggs, hardly appetizing.

The room and the location by the sea were great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I had hoped it would be close to the old town centre but it was a bit of a walk.
